Cloud Computing: Instant Gratification Meets Cloud Storage at Cloud Expo
The combined effect of trends within the consumerization of IT services, BYOD policies and mobile work forces are having transforming effects on both Enterprise storage administrators and repair providers alike.
In his session on the 10th International Cloud Expo , Brian Olson, Cloud Business Development Manager for EMC’s Atmos, will explore these dynamics more closely and include real-world examples of ways scale-out cloud storage and programmable APIs can’t only help deliver new next-generation custom apps faster, but additionally provide storage as a service for brand new use cases. Both should be easily customized, monetized, and taken to market to fulfill the demands of your ‘gotta have it now,’ attention starved, customer base.
Brian Olson is the Cloud Business Development Manager for EMC’s Atmos object storage platform. He’s a technical expert on cloud computing and has deep experience in closely related fields including replication, disaster recovery, continuous data protection, and long-term/permanent archiving. Before joining EMC, he served in CTO, VP Engineering, founder and Advisory Board roles for several storage-related startups.
