Cloud storage firm changes name, adds services

DENVER – Thought Equity Motion Inc., a video cloud storage and licensing company that says to have “the world’s deepest library of online footage” and placed the “heart” of its business in Wyoming, has changed its name to T3Media Inc.

Twin data centers in Laramie and Cheyenne represent the core of the business, which streams multimedia to news outlets, content providers and more around the world.

“The guts of our operation is in Wyoming,” T3Media CEO Kevin Schaff told the Wyoming Business Report in 2011, almost apologetically. “The Denver office is admittedly only a satellite office, like our offices in Tokyo, London or Sydney.”

That the corporate has offices in such distant places says so much about how big it has become as a global storage and distribution platform since its 2003 birth.

“The name T3Media better resonates with our global customers and partners, and expresses the extension of our brand across a variety of video technology and services,” Schaff said in an announcement. “The ‘T’ ties back to our original name and the ’3′ represents the 3 core tenets of our business: storage, access and licensing.”

And the updated name also indicates the company’s ongoing growth .

“T3Media reflects the evolution of our company as we grow both our licensing and platform businesses to serve the purposes of leading digital content producers, in addition sports, news and entertainment library owners worldwide,” Schaff said.

While replacing the corporate name, T3Media also took the chance to swap out its old website for 2 new ones. While t3licensing.com will allow video producers in advertising, entertainment, publishing and emerging media access to its burgeoning library, t3media.com offers general company news and knowledge, in addition to serving as a gateway for brand spanking new, large-scale video library owners to make use of T3Media’s services.
